Mitra SK has 3 offices with complete laboratory facilities for BBBEE compliant inspection and testing of minerals

Mitra SK South Africa (Pty) Ltd was established in 2008 in Richard’s Bay and now operates with 3 branch offices attached with state of art laboratories for services across the country. The site offices along with inspection facilities along the coast cover Port Saldhana bay, Capetown port, Port Elizabeth, Durban port and Richards Bay port. Within the country, we are present in Northern cape, Witbank, Rustenburg, Moinooi and other mining, mineral processing, warehouse and container handling centres.

Mitra SK has complete facilities and capabilities for the inspection and testing of almost all minerals such as Chrome ore, Manganese Ore, Iron Ores, Nonferrous, Base metals, Platinum Group of metal (PGM), all type of Ferro alloys & Coal etc are few to our customers.

We are well networked for round-the-clock sampling and supervision during vessel/ container loading, and also during sample collection from rakes and trucks.

During transit, our online vessel tracking, monitoring and reporting systems generate reports for customers in real time.

Laboratory

MSK laboratories in Richards Bay and Postmasburg in Northern Cape and Benrose in Johannesburg are equipped with sophisticated instruments such as Calorimeter, Carbon Sulphur Analyzer, X-Ray Fluorescence, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Fire Assay, Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission spectroscopy, Pelletizers and Fluxers etc. to ensure test results are delivered within 48 hours from inspection, detecting elemental composition in trace levels.

MSK’s South Africa team comprises 120+ experienced personnel including research associates, Technocrats, commodities experts and many experienced in diverse minerals. It is well networked to carry out round-the-clock sampling and supervision during vessel/ container loading and also during sample collection from rakes and trucks.

Additionally, MSK’s Digital Information system provides real time activities , online vessel tracking, monitoring and reporting systems to generate reports to its customers on time.

Morocco

Office and laboratory in Agadir serve all major ports and mining areas, as well as neighbouring countries like Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Kongo etc.

Mitra SK in Morocco was established in Agadir in 2012. The registered office and laboratory are at Agadir while service delivery extends to all the ports of Agadir, Casablanca, Safi, JorfLasfar, Nador, and Laayoune. In addition, the company serves the mining areas of Ouarzazate, Guelmim, Tata, Errachidia, Rissani, Oujda, Midelt, and other locations.

Apart from Morocco, the Agadir office and laboratory caters to the inspection requirements of Mauritania, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and other West and North African locations.

Laboratories

Mitra SK Morocco has its own laboratory in the port city of Agadir. The lab is equipped with wet chemical and instrumental analysis facilities. It is equipped to carry out analysis of non-Ferrous commodities, iron ore, barite, bauxite, manganese ore, coal, coke, fertilizer, cement, and clinker.

The Morocco laboratory regularly takes part in internal proficiency tests to maintain accuracy and consistency.

TThe Mitra SK Morocco team comprises 20 experienced personnel including technocrats and commodity experts. It is organized to carry out round-the-clock sampling and supervision during vessel, container, and truck loading and unloading. We have preparation facilities in Agadir and Casablanca. Our integrated Information systems provide online vessel tracking and real-time monitoring to generate accurate customer reports. Apart from IT-enabled information and round-the-clock reporting, our facilities in Agadhir and Casablanca provide uninterrupted photographic insights.

Gabon

We are the first inspection company in Gabon accredited by Marine Merchant for TML testing.

Mitra SK started operations in 2018 at GSEZ Mineral port in Libreville. A well-equipped laboratory near port and experienced inspectors are busy to determine the quality to fulfil theexport needsof manganese ore market.We also do stack sampling and supervision rake loading & unloading supervision. We are the first inspection company in Gabon accredited by Marine Merchant for TML testing.
